 | Dr. Rick Rembecki Dr. Rick Rembecki was born and raised in Michigan. His parents still live in the home he grew up in. He attended medical school at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, where he also received a PhD in Immunology. He completed his pediatric residency at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical School- Children’s Medical Center of Dallas. Dr. Rembecki’s Pediatric Pulmonology fellowship was completed at Baylor College of Medicine- Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston. Dr. Rembecki has been the medical director for the American Lung Association’s “Camp Broncho” , Asst. Medical Director: Respiratory Therapy Program at Collin County Community College and Medical Director of the pediatric pulmonary lab at Trinity Medical Center for the past 5 years. His areas of interest are immune compromised and medically complex children, respiratory issues of the new born and asthma. Dr. Rembecki is a computer guru and spends his free time with his wife and five young children.
Dr. Joseph Walter Dr. Joseph Walter was born in Buffalo, New York and raised in a small town in eastern Massachusetts. He came to Texas in 1988 to attend Rice University in Houston and has been a Texan ever since. Dr. Walter received a BA in biochemistry from Rice University followed by a medical degree from the University of Texas Medical School in Houston. Following medical school, Dr. Walter completed his pediatric residency at Driscoll Children’s Hospital in Corpus Christi and then returned to Houston where he completed a fellowship in Pediatric Pulmonology at Texas Children’s Hospital. As part of his fellowship training, Dr. Walter was active in research focused on identifying serological markers for pediatric lung disease. He received several prestigious research awards for this work including the American College of Chest Physicians Young Investigator Award in 2005.
After completing his fellowship, Dr. Walter joined a hospital based medical practice associated with Driscoll Children’s Hospital in Corpus Christi where he worked for 3 years before moving to north Texas. Dr. Walter joined Kid Lungs in September of 2008. Dr. Walter’s areas of medical interest include asthma, Pertussis and recurrent and chronic respiratory problems in infants and toddlers. Dr. Walter lives in Frisco, Texas with his wife and three young children.
